Qualifications

• MSA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accessioning, triaging, specimen processing and embedding under supervision.
• Prepares, labels, stocks supplies and monitors inventory; maintains equipment.
• Under supervision, observes, photographs EM specimens and develops competency.
• Assists other Renal Pathology areas as needed and as training permits.
• Contributes to quality control and CQI activities; collects data for QA committees.
• Performs EM specimen prep on research specimens and photographs after competency.
• Files and organizes blocks, grids, and electronic images.
• Other duties as required.
