Job summary

Duke Health's Electron Microscopy Lab at Duke University Hospital seeks a Medical Lab Scientist to perform a variety of tests and support diagnostic activities. The role emphasizes quality control, instrument maintenance, and safe, accurate reporting of results.

First shift, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends; Electron Microscopy experience strongly preferred. Eligible for a $5,000 commitment bonus for a 1-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science; or Medical Technology required.
• Certification preferred.
• Electron Microscopy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex lab tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate and maintain manual or computerized instrumentation.
• Calibrate instruments and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
• Prepare specimens and report analytical results in accordance with SOPs.
