Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Welding Technician for the 2nd shift to join our team at Elma, NY near Buffalo. You will operate electron beam welding equipment, set up and inspect welds, and assist in maintenance tasks to meet critical specifications.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of welding experience, and adherence to FAA Drug & Alcohol rules. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of related welding experience; experience in production or engineering type welding.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program participation is required for this Safety Sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Operate electron beam welding setup; adjust equipment, perform part inspection and routine maintenance.
• Participate in electronic and mechanical modifications to equipment.
• Follow welding schedules and worksheets to set voltage, amperage, and travel distance.
• Use operator aids and ensure proper alignment, distance, and geometry of welds.
