Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Welding Technician for the 2nd shift in our Military Aircraft Group. You will operate electron beam welding, set up equipment, perform inspections, and support prototype and production parts with precision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in a technical welding field, and compliance with FAA Drug & Alcohol program. This onsite role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow English instructions and perform basic math.
• At least 3 years of related technical experience in welding production or engineering.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program participation is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate electron beam welding.
• Set up, adjust equipment, operate, inspect parts; perform preventive maintenance.
• Participate in electronic and mechanical modifications to equipment.
• Follow welding schedules and interpolate parameters to meet job requirements.
• Assemble weld-related hardware and fixtures; prepare samples for inspection.
• Inspect welds under a microscope to verify requirements.
• Determine operating requirements for voltage, temperature, position and time.
• Set and monitor multiple welding controls; CNC programming may be involved.
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor or engineering.
