KLA is seeking a Product Development Intern to design, develop, and test advanced electron beam instrumentation for the semiconductor industry. You will contribute to cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced R&D environment and work on detectors, beam sources, and related subsystems.

The role involves experimental setup, data analysis, and collaboration with scientists across the organization. Pursuing a Master's or PhD in a related field, you will apply CAD, simulation tools, and programming

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
• Strong academic record.
• Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) or simulation tools (COMSOL/ANSYS) is desirable.
• Experience with lab equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and test plans for characterizing electron beam subsystems such as detectors and electron beam sources.
• Work with vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, and gauges.
• Design, set up and execute multi-disciplinary experiments.
• Analyze data and prepare summary reports.
• Build correlations between simulations and experimental data.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers across the company.
