Job summary

The primary responsibilities include conducting electromyography (EMG) tests and nerve conduction studies (NCS), as well as performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care. This role is essential for supporting the diagnosis and treatment plans formulated by physicians. Peer roles include EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Technologists. Reporting to the Neurosciences Clinical Supervisor, this position works closely with neurologists, physical medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers.**RESPONSIBILITIES****Conduct EMG Tests*** Prepare patients for nerve conduction studies in a professional manner as directed by the physician.* Apply electrodes to patient muscles and record electrical activity.* Analyze test results and report findings to physicians.**Perform Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)*** Set up and calibrate NCS equipment.* Conduct NCS to assess nerve impulse transmission.* Document test results.**Maintain Equipment*** Calibrate and maintain EMG and NCS equipment.* Troubleshoot equipment issues.* Ensure proper functionality and accuracy of diagnostic tools.* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of exam and testing rooms.**Patient Interaction/Care*** Explain procedures and answer patient questions.* Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests.* Assist patients with mobility as needed.* Administer medications and treatments under supervision.* Record patient medical histories and vital signs.**Administrative Duties & Clinical Support*** Maintain patient records and test documentation.* Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.* Collaborate with administrative staff for efficient operations.* Address patient inquiries, authorizations, and other medical documentation as needed.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).* One (1) year of experience in electromyography or neurodiagnostic testing.* Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) **or** Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.
