Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery at Charter Wire in Milwaukee. You’ll work with mechanical and electrical systems on high-speed stamping presses and automated equipment.

Shift options include rotating night shift with a 3-2-2-3 schedule and an all-night Monday–Friday option. Benefits include sign-on bonus, competitive wages, health and retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; GED Works program eligible.
• Basic mechanical maintenance aptitude.
• Ability to use basic math.
• Ability to read and follow operating and maintenance instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment on high-speed stamping presses and related machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Diagnose issues using blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
• Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training.
