Charter Wire LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI to maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose issues using blueprints and manuals. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow safety protocols, and participate in ongoing training to support continuous improvement.

The role offers a 5K sign-on bonus, rotating night shifts (3-2-2-3) or Monday–Friday night shift, with hourly flex options available, and

• Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training.

Shift Options:

• Rotating Night Shift: 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Work a 3-2-2-3 schedule-3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off with a three-day weekend off every other weekend!
• Monday-Friday Night Shift: 10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Hourly Flex options available

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment using hand tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability
• Diagnose and resolve issues using technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE
• Support process improvements and participate in ongoing training

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. (GED Works program eligible)
• Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude
• Ability to use basic math skills
• Ability to read and understand and follow operating and maintenance instructions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to work well with other employees

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with PLCs and drives (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
• Familiarity with AC/DC motors, HVAC, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Experience with welding/torch equipment and precision measuring tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to keep learning

• Frequent standing and walking
