TheElectromechanical Technician – Decon Field Service is responsible for building,testing, and troubleshooting serial-production electronic and electromechanicalassemblies — such as cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, and robotictools — in a low-to-medium-volume production environment, and for deploying tocustomer sites to operate, maintain, and support the company's roboticdecontamination (decon) field services. The role spans both in-house assemblyand hands-on field service, including work at nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities
Production & Assembly (Internal)
  • Perform hand-soldering operations per ourstandards.
  • Measure, mix, and apply polymeric chemical adhesives and two-partcompounds toassemblies.
  • Label parts and components with identifyinginformation.
  • Inspect completed assemblies and sub-assemblies per acceptancecriteria.
  • Perform electrical acceptance testing perprocedures.
  • Maintain and complete manufacturing documentation for traceability andissues.
Field Service & Decon Operations
  • Operate,maintain,configure,troubleshoot,repair,andmobilize/demobilizerobotictoolsandequipmentin thefield.
  • Travel to customers to troubleshoot and repair our product, includingdecontamination fieldjobs.
  • Interfacewithcustomerrepresentatives,3rdpartyreps,andendusersrequiringtechnicalassistance.
  • Ensure compliance to project and delivery schedules while onsite.
  • Completetripreports,expensereports,andotherassociatedpaperworkcoveringactivitiesinthefield.
  • Perform technical product training to customers anddistributors.
General
  • Solicitandrelaycustomerfeedbackforthepurposesofimprovingqualityandscopeofcompanyproducts and services; provide technicalproduct suggestions for new features to the R&Dteam.

  • HavingaDPC610solderingcertificate,orsimilar,and/or3yearsofhands-onexperiencewithperformingmanual soldering operations, is highlydesirable.
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly and engineering drawingsandblueprints.
  • Must be able to prepare and apply chemicals such as paints and two-partcompounds.
  • Musthaveexperienceworkingwithelectricaltestequipmentsuchasmultimeters,oscilloscopes,andpower supplies.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use MSOfficeapplications.
  • Mustbeabletoworkwithinaprojectenvironment,andwithproductionanddeliveryschedules;prior experience within a 5S or lean production environment is highlydesirable.
  • Musthaveexcellentcommunicationskills,andbeabletopresentinformationeffectivelyinone-on-oneand small group situations to customers,clients, and otheremployees.
  • Mustbediscreet,energetic,self-starting,self-managed,highlyethical,andhaveimpeccableattention-to- detail and time-management skills, with a strongworkethic.
  • Mustbeateamplayerwithpersonalitytraitsthatenablesuccessfulinteractionswithalllevelsofstaff,vendors, andcustomers.
  • Musthaveavaliddriver'slicense,withagooddrivingrecord(occasionaldrivingwithacompanyvehiclemay be required); must have apassport.
