Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a hands-on technician to design, prototype, and assemble humanoid robots and related equipment in Austin. You will read schematics, operate CNCs, mills, lathes, and 3D printers, and build harnesses for electromechanical subsystems.

Collaboration with R&D and test teams is essential to meet safety and performance goals. Requirements include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields and at least two years in assembly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical/electrical field or related area.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical and/or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Strong problem-solving and safety-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and assemble humanoid robots and related equipment.
• CAD/design basic jigs or fixtures for testing.
• Operate manual mill/lathe, CNCs, and 3D printers.
• Create harness schematics and assemble harnesses.
• Solder PCBA and modify components as needed.
• Assemble subsystems with limited documentation; collaborate with engineers.
• Support test design and implementation; document issues for production.
