Job summary

Gardner Denver (an Ingersoll Rand company) in Sedalia, MO, seeks an Electromechanical Maintenance Technologist to service CNC machinery, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits on a 2nd shift. You will perform major repairs, upgrade controls, and ensure safe, uptime-focused maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance, strong reading of blueprints, and hands-on work with CNC tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency across pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical/electronics, CNC machines, and controls.
• Comfort operating without full prints/specs; expert blueprint/schematic reading.
• Capable of maintaining equipment and process documentation.
• Experience with lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and related machine tools.
• Team-oriented with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute major repairs and installs across mechanical, electrical, and construction scopes.
• Troubleshoot drives to the component level on CNC controllers.
• Log accurate work orders and provide updates to internal customers.
• Coordinate outside service vendors as needed.
• Create sketches for equipment alterations and build BOMs.
• Prioritize safety and uptime in day-to-day decisions.
• Operate hoists, carts, lifts, and forklifts.
• Maintain CNC machinery and plant electrical systems.
• Inspect and test parts; flag defects.
• Lubricate and apply adhesives per specification.
• Collaborate with peers to repair or relocate equipment.
• Work on high-voltage systems up to 480 VAC, 3-phase.
• Restore linings/components in machines and enclosures.

When: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Your Impact (Bullet-Point Snapshot)

• Execute major repairs and installs across mechanical, electrical, and construction scopes using schematics/blueprints.
• Troubleshoot drives to the component level on Fanuc, Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, and other controllers.
• Pinpoint root causes; propose preventive measures; log accurate work order histories.
• Provide timely updates to internal customers; coordinate outside service vendors as needed.
• Create sketches for equipment alterations and electrical circuitry; build BOMs and submit purchase requisitions.
• Make day-to-day decisions that prioritize safety and uptime.
• Operate hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks, and hand trucks to move materials.
• Install, maintain, and repair CNC machinery, plant electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Reassemble equipment after service; inspect/test damaged parts and flag defects.
• Perform lubrication/adhesive applications per specification.
• Collaborate with peers to repair or relocate equipment.
• Work confidently on high-voltage systems up to 480 VAC, 3‑phase.
• Restore linings/components (metal, wood, leather, glass) in machines and enclosures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency across pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical/electronics, CNC machines, and controls.
• Comfort operating without full prints/specs; expert blueprint/schematic reading.
• Capable of maintaining equipment and process documentation.
• Experience with lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and related machine tools.
• Team-oriented with strong communication.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift.
• Lift up to 35 lbs. solo and 70 lbs. with help; push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Vision corrected to 20/35 or better.

Preferred Background

High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years focused on CNC machine maintenance.

Work Arrangement

On-site in Sedalia, MO. Travel is not anticipated.
