Shift: 3rd shift, 630pm to 630am working 4 on and 4 off (Rotating Schedule) - Direct Hire - Full time role

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of CNC machines and manufacturing machines, including work with PLC and electronic components of our manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Makes major electrical, mechanical, and construction repairs and installations involving schematics and/or blueprint interpretation.
• Troubleshoots drive‑related issues to component level for Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other brands of controllers.
• Determines root cause of failures and recommends preventive actions; communicates these through the work order system.
• Communicates consistently with internal customers regarding equipment status in shop.
• Advises supervisor of needs for outside services and works with service representatives on equipment and controls repair and installation.
• Performs craftsmanship across several trades and handles handyman aspects of all trades.
• Constructs sketches of mechanical or construction alterations/installations and electrical circuitry.
• Prepares bills of material for jobs requiring major material use and initiates purchase requisitions.
• Makes day‑to‑day work‑related decisions.
• Uses material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks, and hand trucks to move light to heavy weight material.
• Uses a variety of lock‑out/tag‑out devices as required per plant LOTO plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing maintenance or industrial maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Exhibits teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours continuously during a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs alone, or 70 lbs with assistance, repeatedly over an 8‑hour shift.
• Ability to push or pull up to 35 lbs.
• Visual acuity of at least 20/35, corrected as needed with glasses or contacts.

Preferences

• Associate degree or higher in electronic technology, or enrollment in such program within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, CNC machines and controls.
• Ability to work with concepts when detailed prints, drawings, and specifications are not available.
• Ability to maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
• Ability to maintain mechanical machine tools including lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and similar equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This position will be based at our site in Mocksville, NC, with no anticipated travel.
