Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a maintenance technician in Fontana, CA to oversee preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of automated and non-automated equipment. The role supports Site Manager and plant personnel while ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing production machinery, welding, machining, and using hand/power tools; maintaining plant structures; and working independently or with a team as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals.
• PLC and robotics maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical production equipment and machines.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, change parts, and complete tasks.
• Welding, torching, and light machining as required.
• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance to plant structures.
• Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery and ensure proper operation.
• Install equipment and electrical components and test functionality.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts and replace as needed.
