Charter Manufacturing Company is hiring an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 2pm–Midnight) in Shawano, WI. Eligible candidates earn a $5,000 hiring bonus and can expect comprehensive benefits, weekly pay, and growth opportunities within a family-owned setting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electromechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance, installing and diagnosing hydraulic and HVAC systems, and maintaining CMMS records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (GED program available)
• Accredited electrical apprenticeship or two years of technical training with two+ years electromechanical experience
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and specs
• Knowledge of medium voltage distribution
• Knowledge of drives, PLCs, motors
• Ability to inspect electrical systems and equipment
• Experience with electrical codes and instruments
• Lockout/tagout procedures knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication
• Team player with safety focus
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electromechanical issues and perform PMs
• Inspect and maintain equipment daily
• Verify part dimensions match specifications
• Repair and calibrate pneumatic assemblies
• Install and troubleshoot hydraulic systems
• Diagnose control systems and resolve issues
• Maintain drawings, blueprints, and inspection manuals
• Maintain inventory in CMMS
• Support technician learning programs
• Suggest process improvements
• Ensure production lines operate per procedures
• Update wiring on systems and equipment
• Ensure safety of electromechanical systems
