Job summary

QCi in Bedford, MA is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to develop and integrate EO, OE, RF, and photonic modules. You will own integration of electrical structures, thermals, and packaging, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.

The role spans concept through prototyping, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing with hands-on hardware work and collaboration across product development and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/ME/EME or related field.
• 2+ years in electromechanical product development.
• Experience integrating PCBs, interconnects, packaging into manufacturable hardware.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
• SolidWorks proficiency.
• Python for automation and data processing.
• Experience maintaining component libraries and lifecycle data.
• Hands-on lab experience with hardware assembly and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead electromechanical integration and packaging of EO/OE/RF/photonic modules.
• Design electrical structures, interconnects, thermal systems and enclosures.
• Create fixtures, tooling for assembly and testing, ensure manufacturability.
• Develop electrical test plans and data acquisition automation.
• Support transfer from prototyping to manufacturing and DFx.
