Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks an Electromechanical Engineer - Level 2 to join the Vehicle Engineering Directorate in Redondo Beach, CA. This onsite role requires SCI access and a U.S. citizenship.

The engineer will perform electromechanical engineering across multiple projects through all development phases, develop specs and drawings, and support data packages while working within an integrated product team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in STEM.
• Active SCI access at time of application or active Top-Secret clearance with SCI access eligibility.
• Experience with mechanisms design, electromechanical or opto‑mechanical systems.
• Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA V5/3DExp.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform electromechanical engineering across all development phases.
• Develop technical specifications, conceptual designs, trade studies, and drawings.
• Assist with technical data packages including fabrication, source control, and assembly drawings.
• Support on-time execution of development programs and mitigate risks.
• Communicate effectively within an integrated product team.
