Job summary

Global Edge Group seeks an ElectroMechanical Engineer II to lead product design, development, and production support on complex aerospace and defense hardware, focusing on electromechanical components and assemblies through the full lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpret requirements, and contribute to design reviews, documentation, and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ElectroMechanical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience supporting product design, development, and/or production support of electromechanical hardware.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • Experience working in a structured engineering environment and collaborating within integrated product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support electromechanical product design activities, including requirements interpretation, concept development, detailed design, and documentation.
  • Contribute to development, integration, and verification of electromechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and interface requirements.
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting hardware issues, addressing nonconformances, and working with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Generate and maintain engineering documentation, such as drawings, parts lists, and specifications, in accordance with applicable standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and test) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical reviews and present design status, issues, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders.

Job description

This role is for an ElectroMechanical Engineer II responsible for product design, development, and production support on complex aerospace and defense hardware. The position focuses on electromechanical components and assemblies, supporting programs through the full lifecycle from requirements and design definition to manufacturing, integration, and fielded product support.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Support electromechanical product design activities, including requirements interpretation, concept development, detailed design, and documentation.
  • Contribute to development, integration, and verification of electromechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and interface requirements.
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting hardware issues, addressing nonconformances, and working with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional experience supporting product design, development, and/or production support of electromechanical hardware.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with CAD tools and Product Data Management (PDM) systems for design and configuration control of mechanical or electromechanical hardware.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability, assembly, and test practices for electromechanical products.
  • Experience supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware issues in a production or test environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
