Job description

What we do...

HindlePower has been designing and manufacturing industrial battery chargers and DC power systems for the utility industry for over 35 years. Our products serve power generation and distribution, substations, switchgear OEMs, oil and gas, and transportation maintenance facilities. We are the leader in our industry, with customers in all 50 states and around the world. The equipment you build here keeps critical power infrastructure running.

What you'll do...

As an Electrical Assembler, you'll be a part of our ATevo Battery Chargers production team. There's a range of work on the production floor and where you start depends on your strengths and where we need you:

  • Crimping, labeling, and bundling wire harnesses
  • Hand soldering components to PC boards
  • Winding, stacking, and welding power magnetics
  • Building subassemblies from individual components
  • Wiring components and subassemblies together
  • Using hand tools and fasteners to assemble enclosures and install subassemblies

You don't need to walk in knowing any of these. We train them, and most people end up learning more than one.

In this role you'll:

  • Work at a station, on your feet, doing detailed work with your hands
  • Start on one station and pick up others over time. Most people here can run several, and that's how it should be.
  • Read job travelers and electrical prints and build to spec
  • Catch problems before they move downstream. Checking your own work is part of the work here, not somebody else's job later.
  • Tell us when you see a better way to do something. We're serious about this. A lot of how we build today came from someone on the floor saying there was a better way.
What you bring...
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands
  • Strong attention to detail. Our products go into substations, and there is no acceptable margin for a bad connection.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Assembly experience is a plus. It is not required.
Where this goes...

We run a certification program for our production employees. It has defined levels, each with a pay increase attached, and you will know exactly what it takes to reach the next one. We promote from within whenever we can.

A few things about us...

Our commitment to quality is evident in our highly skilled colleagues and our exceptional approach to customer service. We believe in rewarding hard work and offering competitive compensation, comprehensive health, vision, and dental benefits, along with a 401k plan that includes employer matching and a gain-sharing program.

At our core, we are driven by integrity and quality, constantly seeking innovative solutions and improvements. Our unique culture thrives on accountability and self-initiative, empowering every employee to make impactful contributions. In our organizational structure, your voice is heard, and your efforts are recognized. We celebrate our achievements together, whether it's over a complimentary lunch in our cafeteria or through our various team-building activities. We are a five-time Top Workplace in the Lehigh Valley and were named one of IndustryWeek's Best Plants. We are proud of our accomplishments and are continually striving to do better.

We value our employees and trust they hold these key characteristics:

  • Initiative... we see it, we do it
  • Ownership... I've got it, you don't need to think about it
  • Integrity... decisions are based on looking at the whole picture
  • Attitude... anything can be done
  • Virtue... honesty, good deeds, kindness, and appreciation
  • Teamwork... we before I
