Job Description

Assembler 2 will prepare and perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at unit and module assembly level using blueprints, work instructions, ECN's, deviations, drawings, diagrams, and written processes.

Title - Mechanical Assembler 2

Job location - Orange, CA, 92865

Duration - 06 Months TEMP-TO-HIRE Role

Shift time - 2:20PM-10:30PM

Job Description

Assembler 2 will prepare and perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at unit and module assembly level using blueprints, work instructions, ECN's, deviations, drawings, diagrams, and written processes.

In addition, the Assembler will assemble and inspect components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice and normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.

Asks for guidance from lead when there are questions about the build and documentation is not clear.

Overtime: Ability to work overtime Monday thru Friday and on weekends with advance notice.

Key Responsibilities

Identify material used to build the product qty. and where used.

Assemble components to a final configured product utilizing process instructions, engineering documentation (assembly drawings, wire lists, Wiring Diagram etc.), specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.

Identify tooling requirements for assemblies to promote 6S.

Experience in utilizing a variety of hand-held tools, crimpers, torque drivers, strippers, and screw drill gun.

Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Meets established standards of productivity and quality.

Reads and interprets assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets and visual aids.

Follow the lead's instruction on building units.

Identify discrepant material using red tag process.

May provide training and support to lower-level assemblers as required.

Use of dated calibrated equipment and dated sensitive materials.

Exhibit a positive "Can do" attitude and be a part of the drive for continuous improvements and problem-solving team working culture.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in electromechanical assembly

High School diploma required

Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Proficient use of small hand tools

Excellent work ethic & dependability as a team member

Ability to read and verbally communicate and understand work instruction

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Must be able to interact positively with co-workers

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as necessary

Ability to work with and around aerosol products

Prolonged sitting or standing

Additional

Act as Role Model by exemplifying highest work ethic and technical standards for Production Operation.

Lead by example through work products that meets quality assurance standards.

Proficient and versatile technical experience and ability to support various workstations.

Ability to promote and support line loading and updating Metric/KPI white board

Ability to promote and support ESD and FOD programs.

Ability to promote and support LEAN, 6S on a daily basis.

Other duties as assigned.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms (keyboarding/data entry, dial phone, sort/gather, file, scan, copy documents).

This position may alternate between a sedentary as well as mobile role at times in order to follow up with various departments in the company.

Occasionally may include heavy lifting and moving of equipment 30+ pounds: overhead lifting, bending, prolong standing,
