Main Purpose of the Role
The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and verifying complex medical device products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures. This role supports production by building high‑quality products while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complex electromechanical medical devices, sub‑assemblies, and components following engineering drawings, wiring schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and approved work instructions.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable assembly, soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly using appropriate hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures, and technical documentation to accurately complete product builds.
- Verify workmanship throughout the assembly process and ensure products meet established quality and regulatory standards.
- Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies to identify and resolve manufacturing defects or to escalate issues as appropriate.
- Identify and communicate material shortages, documentation discrepancies, quality concerns, or manufacturing issues impacting production.
- Accurately complete production documentation, travelers, quality records, and other required manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions, engineering changes, process improvements, and manufacturing initiatives.
- Support cross‑training across multiple products, workstations, and manufacturing processes to maintain operational flexibility.
- Assist in validating revised work instructions and provide feedback for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with all company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support production priorities to meet customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
- Hold oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with the company’s Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies, procedures, and internal controls applicable to the role.

Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years of experience assembling electromechanical products in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience performing precision soldering in accordance with IPC‑A-610 and/or J‑STD‑001 standards.
- Experience reading engineering drawings, wiring schematics, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across functional teams.
