Job Type: 3-Month Temporary (Potential for Permanent Placement)

Location: Milpitas, CA (On-Site)

Work Schedule:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (9-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid meal break)

Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4-hour shift)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Milpitas, CA. In this role, you will build, inspect, and test electronic sub-assemblies and mechanical components using precision tools, engineering drawings, and established standard operating procedures in a high-tech production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Component Assembly: Assemble electronic and mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and specialized manufacturing equipment.

Technical Compliance: Follow detailed work instructions, engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Quality Inspection & Testing: Inspect incoming components and finished assemblies for quality, structural defects, or damage. Conduct basic functional testing to identify and address performance discrepancies.

Precision Measurement: Use calipers, gauges, torque tools, and precision measurement instruments to verify part dimensions against specifications.

Documentation & Records: Maintain clean production logs, time records, and accurate quality inspection documentation.

Workplace Standards: Maintain an organized, safe work area following 5S and safety standards.

Team Communication: Promptly elevate material shortages, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to supervisors, collaborating across the production department to achieve daily output targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience (preferably handling electronic components).

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Technical Skills: Ability to read schematics, blue prints, and written assembly instructions. Demonstrated proficiency with basic hand tools, precision measuring tools, and soldering or crimping tools where applicable.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, bend, perform manual repetitive motions, and lift up to 35 lbs regularly throughout scheduled shifts.

Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, effective verbal communication, and the ability to work constructively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience assembling electronics within semiconductor, medical device, or high-tech manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S methodologies, or continuous improvement processes.

Demonstrated capability to build complex units directly from engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs
