Amentum seeks a dynamic Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support for USPACOM's Operations Directorate, embedded with PACAF at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

You will assist senior leaders with strategic papers, briefings, and analyses of national security policies and threats, focusing on electromagnetic spectrum operations across the Indo-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 10+ years in EW ops or policy.
• At least 3 years at a Combatant Command or equivalent HQ.
• At least 3 years in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
• Familiar with PACOM TCP/OPLANS.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Operations Directorate as part of a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell supporting U.S. Pacific Air Force (PACAF) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

• Have the experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Pacific.
• Have experience working with AI or Language Model (LM) tools to support data analysis, reporting, or operational decision-making.

You will provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USPACOM and PACAF senior leader consumption. You'll also provide research and analysis of various pertinent national security policies, military strategies, vulnerability assessments, threat and intelligence assessments. This position will identify operational areas of concern, inform planning efforts, and help develop new concepts and identify new capabilities for Electromagnetic Warfare.

The ever-increasing demands associated with a congested and contested electromagnetic environment requires strategic and operational partners who are properly postured to meet mission critical requirements. You will support innovative approaches to integrating partner nation capabilities as well as close coordination with Service Components, research labs, industry, OSD, and Joint Staff.

This position will work directly for the USPACOM JEMSO cell with primary responsibility and place of work embedded at PACAF.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USPACOM and PACAF senior leader consumption.
• Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USPACOM operations and exercises with a specific focus on PACAF related operations.
• Utilize experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) focused on PACAF operations that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.
• Support the integration and application of AI/LM tools to enhance data analysis, reporting accuracy, and operational insights.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, in lieu of degree, at least 10 years of combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy.
• At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component or equivalent HQ.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
• Familiar with PACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
• Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers.
• Experience analyzing operational data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in support of government client objectives (e.g. *GPT, GenAI, AskSage, MAVEN, Machine Assist Disclosure (MAD), python, etc.).
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
• Background in U.S. Air Force JEMSO operations in the air domain.
• Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and PACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
• Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
• Familiar with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $140K - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
