Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a senior candidate to lead functional safety activities for the Electrolyzers business. You will develop safety studies, perform SIL calculations, and drive risk assessments with cross-functional teams.

The role requires CFSP/CFSE certification or equivalent experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate safety lifecycle activities with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering required.
• CFSP or CFSE certification preferred with hands-on functional safety experience.
• Experience with IEC 61511/61508 safety standards and risk assessment methods.
• Ability to perform HAZOP and risk assessments and to document results.
• Strong communication, documentation, and project management fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams on functional safety across the electrolyzers lifecycle.
• Work with process, instrument and control systems owners on safety and process requirements.
• Develop functional safety documentation (FSMP, SCN, SRS).
• Conduct SIL calculations and LOPA-based risk reduction analyses.
• Lead or participate in HAZOP/HAZID and risk assessment workshops.
• Review work products for functional safety and participate in technical reviews.
• Support audits, continuous improvement, and safety lifecycle planning.
