Ultium Cells LLC is seeking an experienced engineer/lead to join a highly automated lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing plant in Spring Hill, TN. You will focus on continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and implementing manufacturing methods to maximize yield and productivity.

The role requires collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, on-call support, and a strong background in mechanical/industrial engineering.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• 1-3 years industrial or manufacturing leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor-level engineering or related field; equivalent combination acceptable.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods.
• Experience with lithium-ion battery manufacturing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations within/between departments.
• Plan work schedules and production sequences to meet goals.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Train team on equipment operations, safety procedures and quality expectations.
• Support and facilitate team-based problem solving.
• Monitor KPIs and equipment performance to ensure conformance to standards.
• Address workforce concerns and drive employee engagement.
• Interpret specifications and drawings for workers.
