Job summary

The Concord Hospital Electroconvulsive Therapy Program Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for screening, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the client receiving ECT under physician supervision. The coordinator supervises an LNA in ECT and reports to the Behavioral Health Services Nursing Manager and/or Behavioral Health Director.

Education includes an ADN; BSN preferred. Must hold an NH RN license and BLS certification with aggressive behavior management courses within 6

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Current New Hampshire RN license is required.
  • BLS certification is required or equivalent.
  • Experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screens and schedules clients.
  • Gathers data through history and biopsychosocial assessment.
  • Develops and revises care plans and nursing actions.
  • Delivers and documents patient care and outcomes.
  • Teaches patients and families about treatment and plan of care.
  • Manages payments and reimbursement processes.
  • Maintains policies, procedures and QA documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Summary

The Electroconvulsive Therapy Program Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for the screening, assessing, planning, treating, implementing and evaluating the client receiving ECT under the supervision of the physician. Supervises and delegates to a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) working in ECT. The ECT Program Coordinator reports to the Behavioral Health Services Nursing Manager and/or Behavioral Health Director.

Education

Associate’s degree (A.D.), Diploma in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association

Certification required to obtain: Management of Aggressive Behavior Part 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.

Licensure required: Current New Hampshire State Registered Nurse license.

Experience

Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training in Behavioral Health required. Experience in office management preferred.

  • Makes proficient clinical judgment to deliver treatment/care reflecting knowledge and understanding of the patient’s clinical condition.
