Job summary

Solid Power is seeking an Electrochemical Engineer to join our team advancing next-generation all-solid-state rechargeable batteries. You will work in the Electrolyte Systems Engineering group to characterize electrolyte materials and translate results into product and process improvements.

You will execute and refine electrochemical testing, analyze complex datasets, and communicate actionable insights to engineers, scientists, and leadership as we scale from pre-pilot to pilot manufacturing.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS in a related technical field and relevant electrochemistry experience.
• Experience developing or applying electrochemical characterization methods in batteries or solid-state systems.
• Strong understanding of structure-property-performance relationships and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to design statistically sound experiments (DOE) and analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret electrochemical experiments to evaluate current and next-generation solid-state electrolyte products.
• Translate electrochemical feedback into actionable product and process improvements.
• Correlate processing, properties, and performance to enable PSPP understanding and decision-making.
• Perform electrochemical characterization methods (EIS, CV, CCD, DC polarization, rate testing, long-term cycling).
• Apply statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, Python) to evaluate results and identify trends.
• Contribute to root-cause investigations and cross-functional projects in a fast-paced development environment.
