Job summary

Solid Power in Colorado is seeking an Electrochemical Engineer to join the Electrolyte Systems Engineering team to characterize the electrochemical performance of solid-state electrolyte materials and support product development from pre-pilot through pilot manufacturing.

You will design, execute, and interpret electrochemical experiments (EIS, CV, CCD, DC polarization), analyze data, and translate results into engineering insights that enable process improvements and scale-up decisions across

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing or applying electrochemical characterization methods in batteries or related technologies.
• Experience with EIS, CV, galvanostatic cycling, CCD testing, and DC polarization; experience with advanced analysis such as DRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret electrochemical experiments to evaluate solid-state electrolyte materials.
• Translate electrochemical feedback into actionable product and process improvements.
• Correlate material properties and processing to performance for PSPP understanding.
• Perform electrochemical testing (EIS, CV, CCD, DC polarization) and long-term cycling studies.
• Apply statistical and data analysis tools to evaluate results and support data-driven decisions.
• Communicate complex findings to engineers, scientists and management.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects in a fast-paced development environment.
