The Research Foundation for SUNY in Rochester, NY is seeking a Test and Measurement (Electro-optic Test) Co-op to support electro-optic measurements on photonics chips. You'll work on developing test setups and learning testing procedures for various electro-optic measurements.

The role emphasizes automation scripting in Python, data analysis, and presenting results to stakeholders. This internship requires a strong background in electrical engineering or physics and a year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Physics with focus in Photonics/Optics.
• Understanding of electronics and photonics concepts.
• Understanding test and measurement techniques for electrical and photonics measurements.
• 1 year lab experience with test setups and measurements.
• Experience coding and scripting in Python.

Responsabilités

• Learn testing procedures for electro-optic measurements.
• Develop test setups and perform measurements for internal/external projects.
• Develop automation scripts to improve measurement efficiency.
• Develop scripts and tools for data analysis and parameter extraction.
• Document best practices and present results to stakeholders.
