Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Test Technician in Buena Park, CA.

Under minimal supervision, you will set-up and run standardized tests on electro-mechanical power distribution systems, record data, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain quality and throughput. Responsibilities include reading schematics, performing tests with published procedures, maintaining logs, filing paperwork, and coordinating with engineers.

Qualifications

• A two-year technical degree or more than 5 years of equivalent technical experience.
• More than 5 years of experience as an electronic technician with electro‑mechanical assemblies and PCB components.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with failed components/systems or test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
• Completion of solder school certification in IPC‑A‑610 or equivalent.
• Familiarity with PCB assembly (SMT, TH, etc.).
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills MS Office; Word Excel.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings and procedures.
• Set‑ups and runs standardized electronic tests on electro‑mechanical parts according to procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems with set‑ups and equipment and correct as needed.
• Refer failed units to the appropriate department.
• Maintain all test logs and required paperwork.
• Check travelers for paperwork accuracy prior to testing.
• Complete necessary items on travelers to maintain lot integrity.
• Interface with engineers to resolve problems with set‑ups and procedures.
• Use test equipment to perform functional testing.
• Troubleshoot final products.
• May direct or train other Technicians.
