Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Test Technician to join our fast-paced team. You will ensure avionics hardware performance across harsh electromagnetic environments, collaborating with design, manufacturing, integration, and mission operations.

You will read drawings, troubleshoot with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, design test fixtures, maintain safety procedures, and support R&D projects to advance rocket and spacecraft hardware.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 1+ years fabricating test fixtures, harnesses or electro-mechanical assemblies

Responsibilities

• Support engineers with standardized testing and root cause analysis
• Read, interpret, and work from free-form drawings and controlled documentation
• Troubleshoot electronics hardware with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies to determine root cause of failures
• Troubleshoot complex problems independently with minimal direction
• Design and fabricate electro-mechanical assemblies, harnesses and test fixtures from drawings
• Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and safety procedures
