Electro-Mechanical Technician at WITRON

WITRON is looking for a skilled Electro‑Mechanical Technician to maintain a state‑of‑the‑art automated material handling system in a fast‑paced distribution center. The role prioritizes safety, maximizes system performance, and involves both electrical and mechanical tasks.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $30.90 to $41.25. Shift differential pay is available for qualifying evening, night, or weekend shifts, and performance‑based bonuses reward hard work and dedication.

Responsibilities

• Approach all tasks and situations with a safety‑first mindset, ensuring the well‑being of yourself and your team.
• Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
• Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
• Aid in the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system components.
• Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site‑specific enhancements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role required; five (5) years plus preferred.
• Strong skills in electrical (3‑Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears).
• Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
• Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
• Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
• Working at heights of up to 80–100 feet while wearing fall‑arrest gear and other PPE.
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
