Electro-Mechanical Technician – Aurora (2nd Shift)

This position is for a skilled technician to maintain a state‑of‑the‑art automated material handling system in a fast‑paced distribution center. The role requires a safety‑first mindset, an ability to maximize system performance, and competence in both electrical and mechanical tasks.
Pay: $35–$37 per hour, plus premium shift differential for qualifying evening, night or weekend shifts and performance‑based bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Approach all tasks and situations with a safety‑first mindset, ensuring the well‑being of yourself and your team.
- Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
- Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
- Aid in the installation of new components or refurbishment of existing system components.
- Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site‑specific enhancements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in industrial technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role; 5+ years preferred.
- Strong skills in electrical (3‑phase, 480 V, DC, 24 V controls) and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors, gears).
- Knowledge of control technology (PLC, controls, inverters).
- Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
- Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
- Working at heights of up to 80–100 feet while wearing fall‑arrest gear and other PPE.
- Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
