Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a skilled technician to provide technical support to engineers and scientists, perform testing, modification, and repair of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies, and work from complex drawings and specs. The role requires an associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience, with safety and regulatory compliance a priority.

The position involves hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, tolerance checks, and potential mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on moderately complex components, devices, materials, products, processes and/or equipment.
• Test, modify, rework, and repair electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies.
• Work from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches.
• Design and test prototype assemblies and production units.
• Interpret and follow SOPs and safety rules and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
