Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance of Dematic DMS and conveyor equipment. Acts as a senior material handling technician at the Jefferson, GA site, mentoring lower-level employees.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $33 to $37.50 per hour. Final pay depends on factors such as location, education, experience, and skills. The role requires working 9:00 pm - 5:00 am, Sunday through Thursday, with possible overtime and weekend work.

Tasks and Qualifications

What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Repair and maintain MHE, focusing on belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Use electrical testing tools to repair electrical circuitry.
  • Document work orders accurately in the asset management system, including labor hours and parts used.
  • Resolve conveyance issues by identifying necessary resources.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.
  • Conduct advanced maintenance and testing to meet specifications.
  • Train customers on equipment operation.
  • Respond quickly to service calls to address failures and faults.
  • Identify and solve problems efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.
What We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is highly valued.
  • 5-7 years of senior-level experience in a technical or specialized role.
  • Proven expertise in the responsibilities listed, with a successful track record.
  • Strong communication skills for customer and team interactions.
  • Leadership ability to manage projects and oversee maintenance teams.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities involving bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Capability to push/pull loaded carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Comfort working in tight spaces, with dust, fumes, varying temperatures, loud noises, and uneven surfaces.
