Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 for the Plant City, FL site. You’ll handle day-to-day troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and mentor junior technicians on all site equipment. The shift is Sunday–Thursday 6 am–2 pm, with occasional overtime.

Duties include repairing MHE, completing PMs, using electrical test equipment, and creating work orders in the asset system. A high school diploma and technical training are required.

• Specialized skill training/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, lubrication.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders in asset management with labor hours, maintenance, and parts.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine needed resources.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and tests to meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Plant City, FL site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. Shift schedule is Sunday - Thursday 6 am - 2pm. With occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28 to $32 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What You Will Do In This Role

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
• Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
