Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Thomasville, NC is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician II for the Cutting and Milling Department. The role performs reactive and preventative maintenance on precision manufacturing equipment and works to minimize downtime.

You will service, repair, adjust and test machinery, support troubleshooting, and implement safety and process improvements. The position may involve 12-hour shifts with a fixed rotation, holidays, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with automated production equipment a plus.
• Experience in installation and maintenance of pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings.

Responsibilities

• Services, repairs, adjusts and tests various machinery and equipment.
• Assists in machine troubleshooting and operation support.
• Plans and executes preventative maintenance with limited supervision.
• Identifies warning signs of equipment failure to order parts.
• Monitors maintenance needs and responds independently.
• Uses mechanical and electrical test equipment to complete tasks.
• Follows safety rules and implements improvements.
• Implements process improvement measures.
• Attends required training and follows SOPs.
• Performs general housekeeping and other tasks as assigned.
