You will troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics, work with PLC logic, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in CMMS. Strong safety leadership and ability to read schematics are essential; weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years mechanical or electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and PMs; document in CMMS.
• Lead with safety and maintain PPE per regulations.
• Work on 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM) with occasional overtime.

Ready to tackle complex maintenance in a 24/7 aluminum casting plant?Howmet Aerospace’s Barberton Aluminum Remelt Foundry (Barberton, OH) is seeking a full-time Night Crew (7PM–7AM) technician to keep our highly automated, continuous horizontal casting lines safe, stable, and productive.What you’ll doTroubleshoot and repair continuous process equipment: motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, water systems, and related production machinery using diagrams, specs, and OEM manuals.Safely disassemble and reassemble equipment using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to replace failed components.Perform targeted maintenance: pumps, motors, chains, sprockets, cables; repair/replace drives; diagnose PLC logic; fabricate/mount guards; adjust hydraulic systems.Lead with safety — maintain PPE and uphold BCC Safety Regulations.Execute PMs and capture work in the CMMS; contribute to reliability improvement projects.Where you’ll workOur cast house contains an aluminum smelter and casting lines recognized among the safest in the world.
