Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Barberton, OH is seeking an entry-level Cast House Associate to join our production team. You will operate casting lines, prepare materials, and inspect ingots in a fast-paced aluminum casting environment.

This full-time role offers day and night shifts with a $1 shift differential for night crew and comprehensive benefits. We value reliable, safety-conscious individuals with a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

  • Entry level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to read and understand warning labels, JSA and MSDS.
  • Ability to be Mobile Equipment Certified.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Charge furnace safely and control the furnace level per standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare the casting lines and filter boxes following standard operating procedures.
  • Visual inspection of all cast ingot.
  • Safely monitor and maintain cast lines per standard operating procedure.
  • Record operating data onto check sheets and make process adjustments.
  • Operate forklift when needed.

WHAT IS A CAST HOUSE?

The Cast House is a structure that holds an aluminum smelter. Howmet Aerospace's smelters are amongthe safest in the world. Our modern aluminum smelter will require trained and skilled operators.

Position Summary:Prepare, assemble, and install casting materials and equipment. Operate casting lines to cast aluminum billet (ingot) as well as inspection of cast ingot and scrap.

  • Charge furnace safely and control the furnace level per standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare the casting lines and filter boxes following standard or special operating procedures.
  • Visual inspection of all cast ingot.
  • Safely monitor and maintain cast lines per standard operating procedure.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate! Entry level candidates encouraged to apply!
  • Ability to read and understand all warning labels, JSA and MSDS
