Job summary

WITRON is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain an advanced automated material handling system in a fast-paced distribution center. You will perform electrical and mechanical tasks, troubleshoot faults, and support production with safety-first practices.

The role emphasizes system performance optimization, installation and refurbishment activities, and opportunities for continuous improvement. On-site work in Hernando, MS with shift differential and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical roles; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills including 3-Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls.
• Familiarity with drive technology, motors/gears, PLC/controls, and inverters.
• Understanding wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office and monitoring programs; manufacturing system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximize system performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot faults, coach operators, and support production teams.
• Assist in installation of new components and refurbishment of existing system parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement and site-specific enhancements.
• Work safely and at heights up to 80-100 feet with PPE as required.

Are you a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician ready to take on the challenge of maintaining a state-of-the-art automated material handling system in a fast-paced distribution center? We are looking for a dedicated professional who prioritizes safety, thrives on maximizing system performance, and excels in both electrical and mechanical tasks.

Pay ranges between $28 - 35 per hour

WITRON offers premium shift differential pay for qualifying evening, night, or weekend shifts on top of the base pay and performance-based bonus opportunities that reward your hard work and dedication.

As An Electro-Mechanical Technician, You Will

• Approach all tasks and situations with a safety-first mindset, ensuring the well-being of yourself and your team.
• Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through effective maintenance activities.
• Engage in a wide range of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist the production team with basic fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
• Aid in the installation of new components or the refurbishment of existing system components.
• Drive continuous improvement activities through comprehensive system knowledge and site-specific enhancements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in industrial technology or related field, preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role required, five (5) years plus preferred.
• Strong skills in electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears).
• Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
• Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary system monitoring programs.
• Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
• Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet while wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE.
• Lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
