Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Hammond, IN seeks an Electro-Mechanical Equipment Troubleshooter to keep a chemical production line running safely and efficiently. The role focuses largely on electrical troubleshooting with generous involvement in mechanical repairs and PM.

You will service high-voltage systems, diagnose motor issues, and support PLC-controlled equipment while documenting work orders and contributing to root cause analysis for long-term fixes. Safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Comfort working with 480V systems and high-power electrical equipment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of motors, drives, relays, contactors, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Service 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motors, starters, motor controls, overloads, relays, contactors, transformers, disconnects, and control panels.
• Diagnose and resolve VFD and motor control issues.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment by verifying I/O, sensors, and electrical components (no programming required).
• Install/repair sensors, switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, wiring, and electrical devices.
• Execute preventive maintenance to improve reliability and minimize unplanned stops.
• Document work orders accurately and contribute to root cause analysis with long-term fixes.
• Collaborate closely with fellow technicians and production teams.
