Job description

Our client, a privately held company with over 30 years of success as a household cleaner manufacturer, is recruiting for a 3rd Shift Electro-Mechanical Technician with strong electrical skills.

Location:

Woodridge, IL.

Pay:

Up to ~$35/hr (higher based on experience).

Hours:

3rd Shift (11:00 P.M – 7:00 A.M.)

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to provide basic mechanic's hand tools
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, good visual accuracy, multitasking skills
• Working knowledge of AC 480-120v and DC low voltage controls
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems
• Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods (80-90% of shift), walk, and answer calls
• Experience with carton erectors, sealers, liquid fillers, case packers, etc.
• Blow molding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial packaging and support equipment, prioritizing safety and maintenance
• Follow daily assignments, schematics, manuals, and maintenance instructions
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns
• Disassemble, rebuild, and replace defective parts such as motors, gearboxes, and electrical units
• Collaborate effectively with all personnel levels

Equipment Familiarity:

Carton erectors, sealers, liquid fillers, case packers, palletizers, cappers, conveyors, labelers, etc.
