Position

Electro‑Mechanical Technician

Location

DrinkPAK’s Texas Beverage Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

Compensation & Schedule

Base hourly compensation range: $35 - $45. Shift: Day/night 12‑hour shifts, 2/2/3 schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
  • Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility.
  • Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with DrinkPAK’s defined processes.
  • Maintain industrial control systems.
  • Work independently and with other team members to safely and timely complete repairs.
  • Keep alert for safety issues and escalate immediately.
  • May fill in for production operator, as needed.
  • Create and report repairs throughout the shift.
  • Complete required work order paperwork and document parts and material usage.
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
  • Respond promptly and honor commitments to internal and external customers.
  • Recommend continuously improving policies, methods, procedures, and/or products.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment where required.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure equipment and facility uptime.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation, or other similar manufacturing-related specialization.
  • At least 4‑6 years of experience in a similar position; preferred 4‑6 years in a field or similar manufacturing environment; preferred 4‑6 years managing projects.
  • Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), servo drives, and servo motors; rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler; thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing; Krones or Techniblend equipment; HVAC including chillers and/or air compressors.
  • Demonstrates adaptability by reacting appropriately to unexpected changes.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, process, and instrumentation schematics.
  • Skilled with shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
  • Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick) preferred.
  • Skilled in repair of variable frequency drives, servo motors, and controllers, communication systems (Asi‑Bus, CAN‑Bus, Profi‑Bus, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules preferred.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
  • Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of the plant or machine center.
  • Will need to utilize a personal toolbox and basic tools.
  • Safety, continuous improvement, and solutions‑driven mindset.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.

  • Physical demands include working in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.
  • Employee must access all building areas without limitations.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist.

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for 10‑12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
