Job summary

Magnum Venus Products (MVP) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Integration Technician to build, wire, test, and install large custom automation systems. You will work from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics at MVP’s facility, then support disassembly, shipment, and on-site installation at customer locations.

This hands-on role requires 3+ years in electro-mechanical or automation builds, comfort with shop and customer environments, and travel to client locations about 25–40%.

Job Summary:

The Electro-Mechanical Integration Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for assembling, wiring, tearing down, and installing large custom automation and capital equipment systems. This position works directly from mechanical and electrical drawings to build engineered systems at MVP’s facility, then supports disassembly, shipment, and on-site installation at customer locations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble large, custom automation systems from mechanical drawings and BOMs
  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly including frames, guarding, motion systems, and material-handling components
  • Wire control panels and field devices per electrical schematics
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, labeling, and termination
  • Install and connect sensors, motors, drives, valves, actuators, and safety devices
  • Route and install pneumatic and hydraulic tubing and hoses
  • Support mechanical and electrical checkout activities
  • Identify drawing discrepancies, missing components, or integration issues and communicate with engineering
  • Participate in factory testing, dry runs, and system verification prior to shipment
  • Disassemble systems in a controlled, documented manner for shipment
  • Reassemble and install systems at customer sites following drawings and installation plans
  • Verify wiring, alignment, and assembly during on-site installation
  • Support startup, commissioning, and site acceptance testing alongside engineering
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues during build and installation
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of electro-mechanical or automation build experience
  • Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Hands-on experience with machine wiring and system assembly
  • Comfortable working in both shop and customer environments
  • Willingness to travel for installations (25-40%)
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when required
  • Ability to work around large industrial equipment and machinery
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as wiring, fastening, and tool use
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
  • Ability to read drawings, labels, and wiring diagrams (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and customer-site environments with varying conditions
