Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 for the Minden, NV location on the 2nd shift (5 pm to 3:30 am, Fri-Mon). Responsibilities include troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on conveyors, DMS, sorter, and robots.

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking and lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Build and close work orders into the asset management system with data (labor hours, parts used).
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Respond to service calls and accurately repair equipment faults.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on conveyor, DMS, sorter, and robots. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Minden, NV location. This is a night shift (2nd Shift) role. 5 pm to 330 am, Friday to Monday with OT as needed for customer site needs

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $29 - $31 dollars at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role

• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Build and close work orders into the asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand the resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls and accurately repair equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to address them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent experience or equivalent required. Typically, an Associate's degree or equivalent experience is helpful. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
• Confirmed experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
