Job summary

Bowhead seeks an Engineering Technician to support NSWC Crane Division. The role performs non-standardized assignments, adapts procedures, and works with supervision as needed.

You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, interpret schematics, and assist in design modifications while maintaining test facilities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in electronics with 7–10 years experience, 2M certification, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• 2M certification with electronics diagnostic experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repair of electronic and mechanical systems using standard test equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Prior NSWC Crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Work on defective power supplies, disassembly, evaluation and repairs.
• Interpret and develop drawings and schematics; provide engineering support for system operation and analysis; inventory and logistics support for Crane's testing facility.
• Maintain the technical base of in-service systems; update parts lists; provide technician support in system use.
• Conduct tests or experiments; modify setups/procedures as needed; record test data with standard equipment.
• Assist in design modifications by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials; identify data gaps.
• Operate MACCOR, NHR, and ACCAT Test Consoles to monitor tests and determine repair needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
