Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced AGV Technician Level 4 in Islandia, NY area for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance on all equipment installed at WCD Islandia. You will mentor junior technicians, lead maintenance tasks, and support customers with operating equipment.

The role requires knowledge of CAN-Bus, LIDAR, encoder systems and hydraulics, with a schedule Sunday–Wednesday 10am–8pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• Senior-level knowledge in a technical area.
• Experience leading projects, teams, and day-to-day maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of AGVs including calibrating sensors, component adjustment/replacement, lubrication, hydraulics troubleshooting.
• Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry (5V to 480V).
• Create and close work orders into asset management system with labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Troubleshoot AGV problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Performs complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Provide training assistance to customers operating equipment.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.

The AGV Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. Acts as a senior Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) technician on all equipment that is installed at the WCD Islandia location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. Knowledge of Computer Aided Navigation, Can-Bus, LIDAR, Encoder, and Hydraulics is required. Acts as a Fault Identification, resolution as well as Maintenance and Repair technician on all equipment.
