Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 to maintain and repair Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and associated equipment. The role requires knowledge of CAN-Bus, LIDAR, encoders, hydraulics, and fault identification.

The shift is Wednesday through Saturday 10am-8pm with overtime and weekend potential. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting, strong electrical/electronic skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Strong Electrical/Electronic competency preferred.
  • Proven experience in area of responsibility and key responsibilities.
  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operation, fault recovery/repair and maintenance of Automation Machinery, including logical troubleshooting and replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
  • Operate and manipulate HMI/GDU devices and be competent with computers and programs such as Excel, Word, and G-Suite.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, cleaning, lubricating and documenting procedures.
  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
  • Create and close work orders in asset management with data on labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
  • Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and assess resources needed to resolve them.
  • Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
  • Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to meet specifications.
  • Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
  • Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Knowledge of Computer Aided Navigation, Can-Bus, LIDAR, Encoder, and Hydraulics is required. Acts as a Fault Identification, resolution as well as Maintenance and Repair technician on all equipment. Shift schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 10am - 8pm with occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28.40 to $38.43 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications
What You Will Do In This Role
  • Perform operation, fault recovery/repair and maintenance of Automation Machinery, including Logical trouble shooting, adjusting and replacement of Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical components.

  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.

  • Locate and track spare parts from inventory.

What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an associate degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Strong Electrical/ Electronic competency preferred
  • Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to work at heights above 30 feet and climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours.
  • Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
