Job summary

Dematic Corp. is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Tech Level IV for the East Fishkill site. This role handles fault resolution, equipment troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on pallet and packaging conveyors, SRM cranes, and Dematic shuttles.

Night shift, 6:00 pm–4:30 am, four 10-hour days, with potential overtime. You will diagnose and repair MHE, document preventive tasks, and support asset management workflows while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or vocational training is advantageous.
• 2–3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment experience.
• Proven ability to work with PLCs and electrical test equipment.
• Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Google G-Suite.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking and component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and document procedures.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine resources needed.
• Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Install/adjust PLCs and sensors using vendor controls software.

Aids and mentors lower-level employees. Acts as Senior Automation technician on shift for Pallet and Packaging conveyors, SRM Cranes, Dematic Multi-Shuttle, AGV and AMR. Also works on other ancillary equipment that is installed at our Fishkill location. Workdays consist of working (4) 10-hour days either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday. The shift is night shift, working 6:00 pm to 4:30 am. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.*# **Tasks and Qualifications:****What You Will Do In This Role*** Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.* Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.* Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.* Build and close work orders into the asset management system with detailed data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.* Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine the resources needed to resolve them.* Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.* Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.* Respond to service calls and address equipment failures and faults.* Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them.* Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.* Perform installation/adjustments on PLCs, sensors, etc. using controls software from various vendors**What We Are Looking For*** High School diploma or equivalent experience required. An associate's degree or vocational technical training is advantageous. Niche skill training/certification preferred.* 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.* Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.* Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.* Working experience with troubleshooting Programable Logistic Controllers (PLC) is required.* Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.* Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.* Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.* Ability to work in diverse conditions: small spaces, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, standing long hours on concrete, wet or uneven surfaces.* Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.* Competent in - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google G-Suite.* Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.Join Dematic Corp. and thrive in a collaborative environment where your expertise will ensure our operations run efficiently.
