Job summary

Dematic in Ocala, FL is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 to troubleshoot and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This on-site role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and flexibility to cover multiple shifts including weekends.

You will repair MHE, perform PM tasks, create work orders in the asset management system, and troubleshoot conveyance problems with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required. Vocational-technical training preferred.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Working conditions may include dust, fumes, temperatures, noise, vibration, and standing for long hours.
• Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holidays.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. This worker acts as a junior-level material handling technician on all equipment installed at the (Ocala, FL) location. Shift Schedule is Thursday-Saturday 06:00 pm - 6:30 am & every other Wed. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $26 to $30 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.

• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

• Create and close work orders into the asset management system with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.

• Troubleshoot fundamental conveyance problems and understand the resources to resolve them.

• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.

• Respond to semi-complex service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.

• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• HS diploma or equivalent required. Typically, vocational-technical training is preferred.

• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.

• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.

• Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.

• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.

• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.

• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
