Job summary

Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Kenosha, WI is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for a continuous 4-on 4-off shift. Starting pay is $38.08 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential for the overnight/second shift and a $4,000 hiring bonus.

You will troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, read blueprints, and install motors and panels. Requirements include a high school diploma or trade school certification and 3+ years in manufacturing, plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a Trade School certification.
• 3+ years as Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, VFDs, PLCs hardware & software.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings, handbooks, specifications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and modify all electrical and mechanical systems
• Investigate all types of mechanical, operational, or electrical issues and plan for and take corrective action
• Perform maintenance, wiring and installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting testing and power circuits
• Create and maintain up-to-date layouts of electrical circuits

Shift:6AM to 6PM (4 days on, 4 days off - Continuous Shift)

6PM - 6AM (4 days on, 4 days off - Continuous Shift)

What you'll do:

We need you to have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a Trade School certification
• 3+ years working as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment or a degree in a related field
• Experience with Allen Bradley systems, VFD's, PLC's hardware and software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20 mA circuits and 440 MCC's
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematicsand drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, and parts lists
